Baghdad Jane

The former "Hanoi" Jane Fonda announces that she will make a cross-country bus tour in March to demand the immediate stop of US military operations in Iraq. The bus will run on vegetable oil. Fonda claims that she has decided to come out against the war at the urging of military veterans whom she met during her recent book tour. Presumably, none of those veterans include former residents of the Hanoi Hilton beaten to appear in her former propaganda ventures. Fonda is also somewhat sketchy on the details of what would happen should the US be so foolish as to take her advice and give Iraq up to the mercies of the Baathists and jihadis now butchering Iraqis by the hundreds.

Perhaps we can look forward to a future Fonda trip to Iraq where she dons a peasant burqa and meets ecstatically with suicide bombers gathering in Syria to urge them on to victory. The good news is that Fonda won't be meeting with any US prisoners of the insurgents this time to make propaganda. They've all been executed.

How many people will die this time if Jane Fonda's ilk get their way? We pulled out of Vietnam and about 650,000 Vietnamese were executed, along with 1.7 million Cambodians. Who knows how many people perished in Laos? This woman has the blood of millions on her hands. And she's just as clueless now as she was in the 60s. THIS is why our Founding Fathers didn't want women involved in the political process. I just regret that she didn't do a sequal to Barbarella before she got all dried up and boney.
